Overview

Principle seeks a designer with urban design and architecture skills with 1 - 3 years of experience to join our team. We are seeking a candidate located in New England and preferably within the Boston region.  The candidate must be adept at self-directed work and performing effectively within a virtual office environment. Preferred skills include urban design, multi-family or mixed-use development, and residential design.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive and demonstrates a passion for design. Principle works on several projects simultaneously for municipalities, private developers, and private architecture commissions. We also manage our own development projects, providing staff with an exciting opportunity to learn the real estate development business. Effective planning and urban design skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills are required. Candidates must also have the ability to problem-solve, work collaboratively as part of a team, and engage and self-direct while working remotely. Responsibilities

• Assisting with urban design, master planning, and architecture projects as a member of the project’s design team; 

• Assist with the design of projects; 

• Produce drawings for design presentations;

• Produce design documentation drawings for architectural projects;

• Produce 3D models and renderings for various projects; 

• Communicating in a clear and timely manner with clients, consultants, and other team members;

• Providing on-time delivery of project deliverables and assisting with meeting project deadlines.

Details

Proficiency in the following programs is required:

• Rhino (or equivalent modeling software)

• CAD (Vectorwork or Revit)

• SketchUp

• VRay, Unreal Engine, or equivalent Rendering Software

• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Required Experience:

• 1 - 3 years experience of architectural design or urban design work. 

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Urban Design or Architecture.
