Architectural Designer, Full Time

Location
New England. We work in a mostly virtual office, but ability to travel to Boston, Portland, or Providence is required. 

 

Overview

Principle is seeking a full-time Architectural Designer to join our team. The right candidate is a self-starter who works well in a virtual office space, has a practical understanding of New Urbanism, and brings up to 3 years of experience. 

Role

  • Assisting with architecture projects as a member of the project’s design team; 

  • Assist with collaboration on various project types running from commercial work and municipality design to luxury residences; 

  • Produce drawings for design presentations;

  • Produce design documentation drawings for architectural projects;

  • Produce 3D models and renderings for various projects; 

  • Work on the various phases of a project from concept presentations to final construction documents;

  • Providing on-time delivery of project deliverables and assisting with meeting project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Architecture, Architectural Design.

  • Up to 3 years of architectural design work experience.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, oral, and written communication.

  • Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Ability to engage and self-direct while working remotely.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner with clients, consultants, and other team members.

  • Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, AutoCAD/BIM (Revit or Vectorworks).
